Cozy Art Night

Come to the Perlman Teaching Museum on Thursday, April 11 from 7-8:30 p.m. for an evening of art, crafts, food, a prize raffle, and good vibes designed by museum and OAR student workers! 

Wear your pajamas and slippers or whatever clothing makes you feel most comfortable. The museum and OAR Cozy Art Night is inspired by themes of accessibility, community, and comfort in the museum’s current exhibition Towards a Warm Embrace.

Cozy Art Night includes:

  • A make your own rice pack station, staffed by Office of Health Promotion student workers
  • Make and decorate your own tissue box holder 
  • A friendship bracelet making table
  • Collective listening to an audio tour made by museum and OAR student workers
  • A touch tour of artworks in the exhibition, led by museum student workers
  • Participate in a community portrait inspired by a text-based artwork in the exhibition
  • Lots of sweet treats including dirt and worm cups and hot chocolate with a make your own marshmallow snowman station, as well as, healthy snack options like hummus, veggies, and fruit. 
  • Grab a free limited edition museum sticker!

Raffle Prizes:

  • An editioned print, signed by artists Ezra Benus and Finnegan Shannon (pictured above).
  • An orange beanie with the anti-stairs club logo pictured in Finnegan Shannon’s artwork Anti-stairs Club Lounge (2020). 
  • A heating pad which is identical to the heating pads used in Ezra Benus and Finnegan Shannon’s newly made installation Hot Hang (2024). 
  • A gift basket with lots of OAR swag and cozy items!
